Crossing Bridges - One at a time, just get across them

Monday Musings

–This morning, it is approximately 30 degrees colder than it was at this time yesterday.  NOT ok!!!

–Sometimes, being a girl means feeling like your insides are being violently ripped out of you.  During these times, it’s best for boys to leave us alone unless they have strong pain-killers or chocolate in their hands.  Both is even better.

–If we don’t hurry up and get lights and garland put on the outside of our house, we’re going to be decorating for new year’s instead of Christmas.

–Our friends Adrienne and Joseph, and their three precious kiddos, spent last weekend with us; we had a BLAST.  Christmas lights and children’s museums are so much more fun with a 3-year-old and a 4-year-old!

–Our Christmas shopping is almost complete, but I have not wrapped a single gift (yes Mom, the tree is still naked).  Maybe I should get on that…

–Charles and I can’t decide whether we want to exchange gifts this year or do something nice together.  I think secretly we kind of both want to do both things…

–Did I mention that it’s suddenly very cold, and that I do not like it?

–Sometimes I wish my sister had decided to go to UNO, or Loyola, or Tulane, or Xavier, or Dillard…or even LSU…she’d be so much closer.  :(

–I would like to campaign for 4-day work weeks and 3-day weekends; if anyone knows who I need to speak with in order to get that going, please let me know!

No pity parties allowed. You are doing great!!!!!! Take a little time to have a cup of hot chocolate in the antique cup we gave you and decide what decorations you are going to put up and where you are putting them. See you soon.
